Snyder Tops 2,000 Points

Ashland University senior Laina Snyder keeps adding to her illustrious career accomplishments.

Thursday night, Feb. 8, the West Holmes graduate scored 19 points to cross the 2,000 point plateau in a 101-43 win over Lake Superior State.

With the effort, Snyder becomes the second player in program history to go past 2,000 and  the 32nd player in NCAA Division II women’s basketball history to garner at least 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in a career.

Snyder now has 2,015 points in her career and needs only 73 more points to break the all-time scoring record of 2,087 points set by Amber Rall following the 2007 season.

Ashland continues their unbeaten season at 23-0 overall and 14-0 in league play.
