Primary Absentee Voting Underway

Absentee voting is underway for the May 2, 2017 Primary Election.

The election is for the Republican nomination for Judge of the Municipal Court.  Also appearing on the ballot will be renewal tax issues for the Village of Baltic and Triway Local School District and a local liquor option for Sunday sales at Wal-Mart in Millersburg West precinct.

You do not need to have a reason to vote absentee.  To vote by absent ballot, an individual must apply for a ballot in writing and submit the request to the county board of elections.

Requests must include voter’s name, residence address, mailing address (if different), date of the election, a statement that the person requesting the ballot is a qualified elector, date of birth, identification, voter’s signature and date.  For this election you must state you want a Republican ballot, or you may ask for an issues only ballot if you live in the Village of Baltic, Triway Local School District, or Millersburg West precinct.

Identification is required.  Identification can be a voter’s Ohio driver’s license or state ID number, the last four digits of the voter’s social security number, or a copy of another acceptable form of identification.

Use of a specific form is not required; however, a basic form is available at the Board office or website:
